I'll be blunt. The major parties will do everything to rig the game to keep it closed to people like me. That should frighten the bejesus out of you. It frightens me. You see what they do when they're allowed to get away with it. But real people aren't going to get elected if you leave it up to chance, or leave it up to someone else to do somethjing about it. So if you want the majors having absolute control, do nothing and you'll get it. If you want actual human beings keeping them in line, you need to help make it possible for regular people to compete. And that costs money. It's not coming from lottery tickets, I'll tell you that much

Hi there!

It's Sophie here...

The truth is, I’ve felt like something isn’t right for a while. So when I got the opportunity to put my hand up for Jacqui, I couldn’t jump fast enough.

I knew if I didn’t, things would stay the same.

I want my daughters to live in a world that is fair, transparent and lets everyone thrive. That is possible – if we work for it.

people have signed up to help me.

Those are three words I believe in!

That's why I want to be your Member for Braddon

For the last 15 years I’ve been helping businesses get their mojo back.

I’ve been fixing problems, talking to people, working shoulder-to-shoulder to get things done.

I get a kick out of knocking things off my to-do list. I know how to open doors that have slammed in my face.

If you’ll help me with your vote, I will work every day to help you. That’s my promise.

Why I’m running

Mental health is health

I’ve seen the devastating impact mental health has on sufferers and loved ones. I’ve been there myself. Mental health is about more than asking ‘are you OK?’ once a year. We have to invest in helping people early, so they don’t end up falling through the cracks forever.

Protect what makes Tasmania beautiful

As a mum, I want my children to grow up in a natural world that’s been treated with care and respect. I know families and businesses need support to reduce our impact on the environment – and keep Tasmania beautiful.

Women deserve to feel safe

Whether it’s in the home or in the street, women shouldn’t feel like they have to look over their shoulder – ever. It’s time we took women’s safety seriously.

A Tasmania that makes things

Years ago, I tried to start a business selling local products, but it was really expensive. Overseas options were cheaper, but I didn’t want to go cheap and sell out my ethics. With the right leadership, we can make it easy to buy local.

P.S. If you want to back me:

I've felt like something wasn't right for a while.

A WORD FROM JACQUI

Sophie is a superstar

She’s the kind of person I set up the Jacqui Lambie Network to support.

Sophie’s a great person.

She’s experienced the best and worst of what life’s got to offer, and she’s come through stronger and more determined. She knows what she wants to do, she knows her strengths, and she is putting her hand up for the right reason: to help people, that’s it.

Sophie’s biggest strength is her character: she’s tough. She’d built her life around helping people get things done, and she doesn’t take no for an answer.

I’ve lived in Braddon all my life. I’ll tell you: we need someone to get things done here.

There’s nobody who’d do it better than Sophie.

Jacqui
